It is probably no surprise that F21 made it on my list. It seems like every week I find something there that I’ve got to have (it doesn’t help that I have their credit card…) Some of my recent purchases that are favorites in my wardrobe collection are:
–Satin Boxy Top — $10.90: This shirt is universally flattering and very versatile; you can dress it up or down and it’s a good staple piece for year-round wear. I have it in three shades and if no one stops me, I might get more.
–Open Front Boyfriend Blazer — $22.99: The apricot color of this blazer was a bit too bright for my winter wardrobe, but is flattering for spring, summer and fall. I have the large which is good for my slightly large arms, and the bottom of the blazer stops around mid-rear which is a good length for me. It instantly makes many of my outfits look that much more office-appropriate.
–Contemporary Satin Dress — $24.90: I love to wear anything off the shoulder and the gathered sleeves gives it a medieval touch that I couldn’t resist. I have this dress in both colors, but different sizes just for length purposes. I feel that this is a very spring/summer friendly dress.
–Slub Knit Surplice Jumpsuit — $17.90: I purchased this jumpsuit in the rust color. I have 2-3 other black jumpsuits and I don’t like the color olive. This thing fits perfectly, is a great year around piece and can be dressed up or down.
–Iridescent Clear Tote Bag — $19.90: This bag, to me, walks the line between youthful and immature. The fact that it’s mostly clear makes it flattering with a variety of looks and encourages me to carry less items. The holographic/iridescent touch makes me smile everytime I wear it. It’s also good quality! I bump it and scratch it and have carried heavy items in it and no damage so far.
–Metallic Hoop Earrings — $2.90: A basic hoop earring never goes out of style. I have these in gold and love how the width of the hoop is slightly wider near the shoulders than at the earlobe. These are great quality considering their price and they aren’t too big for my rather short neck.
It is only $3 for 3 packs, which to me is a total steal. I layer this on to my skin at night; in general if I use a serum I will only use it at night. This is pretty thick and has an aloe vera/soap smell. It does not absorb into the skin too quickly, so you can tell the serum is very potent. When I wake up in the morning I feel very plump and radiant. As far as dark spots or complexion issues, I don’t notice a difference, but if you need some repair after a day in the hot sun, this is a great serum.
If you have not already checked out my review on this mask, then I’ll go over briefly why I love this. It has a very pleasant scent and the second most ingredient is glycerin which is a great product for boosting makeup longevity. I am currently shopping for more of these masks as we speak.
Now before your eyes pop out at the price, I did not purchase a full container. This was sent to me in my Sephora Play! Box either in March or February, can’t remember. First of all this smells like chocolate, shea butter heaven. Secondly, for those with medium skin tones and deeper, the nude glow gives a very subtle peachy-golden sheen across the skin. I have been having a lot of no makeup days but I use this for a natural healthy glow. If you’re not someone that likes scents it definitely fades away after I put on makeup. It does not irritate my skin in any way or negatively impact my makeup application. I will say that the tube I have is very small, probably the size of those fun size candy bars. I have been using it for at least a month and I still have quite a bit of product left. The full size jar would probably last more than a year with everyday use, so totally worth it.

Spice Girl
This is another item that I received in my Play! box and I have been using it every day since. The milkshake shade is a standard nude beige color. It is almost too pale for someone my skintone but it looks good with monochromatic looks or over lipstick. I recently went back to Sephora to purchase the Spice Girl shade which is a pink/brown sheer gloss. If you’ve never tried a plumping gloss, this feels like toothpaste on your lips but without the super minty taste. It is a mild tingle with a subtle result, but I love it. The results do last for a bit after the gloss has worn off or even when it’s been on a few hours. I have noticed that it’s improved my lip appearance over time. The spice girl shade is PERFECT for layering over brown-girl-nude lipsticks, btw.

Wearing the #islay lashes here.
- Flutter Lashes #islay Lashes — $10.46
The price is so random, right? I have purchased this at Blooming Beauty in the Sunvalley Mall and at the Morphe store in SoCal, and each time they are a different price but always around $10 dollars. These are my perfect lashes. They are semi-dramatic but still wearable for daytime. They wing out very far on the outer corners so they draw the eyes up and out which is ideal for my eye shape and placement. The hairs are separated, so it is great for pairing with eye looks that without covering up the lids. They are limited edition so I would purchase them while you can! Try them out from Morphe and use a discount code (MannyMUA, KimThai) for a bit of change off.
Everyone knows that I shop at Colour Pop religiously. I believe I purchased this around Christmastime. It has a mix of golden and silver sparkle which compliments my undertones and overtones. The golden peach makes it flattering but the silver makes it pop. I can even wear this with no makeup for a very subtle glow. There is noticeable glitters in it if you use too much. If that’s not your thing try applying it with a damp sponge.
I purchased these on a fluke because I was at my bf’s house with no makeup remover and he has white bedding (= recipe for disaster). Apparently everyone loves these! I do too. They take off my makeup easily, don’t irritate or dry out my skin and have great value. I purchase them in bulk from Costco; I believe it is 114 towelettes for around $30. They come divided up into smaller packs inside. Even if you have dry or sensitive skin, which is basically the opposite of my skin type, you would probably like these wipes.
I’ve had Pinterest for years but I wasn’t a very active user. I’d pin cute nail designs and tattoos mostly. In the past couple months I’ve been bulking up my boards and pins with things that inspire me for fashion and style or beauty. I love that it is so easy to find what you’re looking for and everything can be organized down to the smallest detail. It is a great tool for those of us that blog too!
I love using organic coconut oil on my hair, but I’ve fallen even more in love with this line of products. They smell like a salty, tropical breeze with lime and creamy coconut notes. My curls feel springy and moisturized after using these products, but I also use them before styling my hair straight. Overall, great haircare line.
What are your favorite recent products? I know for me when the seasons/weather changes, I usually change up what I like to wear and what makeup, skincare and hair care products I use. I will probably make a few more changes before the summer so stay tuned!
I love the lashes!
