Hey guys, sorry I haven’t been posting so frequently. I’ve been so busy with school and work! I thought I’d break the ice by doing two fall fashion looks-of-the-day.
I chose one sweater dress and one shorts outfit that could also be worn as a pants look. These looks are adaptable to what most women have in their closets and can be tweaked slightly to compliment the weather or occasion.
LOOK 1: MIDTOWN MIDI
I love the length of this dress. For me it is the perfect midi–it covers the knees and stops at a flattering point on the calves. This sweater dress is probably better suited for cooler weather. It has long sleeves and pretty thick material, but the rich oxblood red is perfect for fall. I can’t remember the price (probably less than $25). The brand is Say What? but I purchased this dress from Ross.
I paired this with a staple leather jacket and because it was casual Sunday I decided on wearing my white high-top Converse. The cat eye aviator sunglasses are from Gypsy Warrior.
As for the makeup and hair I tried to keep it relatively simple. I always like my brows bold and defined. For the eyes I decided on bronze smoke. I recently made a purchase with Colour Pop and I used Central Perk and Bandit in the crease and for the inner two-thirds of the lid I used a jumbo eye pencil from NYX in the shade shimmery bronze. The lipstick is also from NYX–their Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania.
For the hair I just wanted it easy and textured. Since I had slept with my hair twisted in buns the night before I simply removed the buns gently to maintain the wave and clipped my bangs back on both sides.
LOOK 2: DOWNTOWN HIPPIE
I wore this shorts outfit to school. What I like most about this outfit is the interchangeability and of course the shaggy vest, which is ideal for fall and winter. If the weather is warmer it can be worn with a shorter sleeved top. If its cooler just swap the shorts for pants!
The shoes and vest are from the Target. I purchased these about a year ago but you can find shaggy little vests like this all over the place and just wear whatever mid-calf boots you have/like.
Surprisingly enough this is one of my favorite long-sleeved tops. Its a ballerina-grade leotard that I purchased on Amazon. There is bra support sewn inside but it does not have a convenience closure in the crotch area.
These shorts are my absolute favorite denim shorts but I actually made them myself from old jeans. The jeans were are from Old Navy in the sweetheart style.
This is one of my more “high maintenance” makeup looks. Again I used Bandit in the crease and the jumbo bronze eye pencil on the inner corners and lower lash line. On the lid I used pinky-mauve shades from my Matte Morphe eyeshadow palette. I used Girl Power, a Colour Pop super shock shadow, on my cheeks and The Balm’s Mary-Loumanizer for my highlight. And Colour Pop again on the lips with the shade Chilly Chili.
Hope you guys enjoyed! It isn’t cold enough yet where I live to post more wintery looks, that’s why I didn’t include any pants looks.
